New in state college

The Makery Market is a mission-driven boutique dedicated to items made and curated in Central PA. This collective aims to benefit local creatives and enhance downtown State College while also providing a nurturing job-training environment for young women transitioning out of foster care.

The Makery Market is a new initiative developed by the team that brought you The Makery, Centre County’s favorite neighborhood art studio. The space is slated to open in early October.

The design team at Grace Ryan Designs is happy to participate in this initiative by providing design resources, plans, expertise and curating their launch party, "Gather the Girls".

Learn about us

Growing up I knew I had a love for making spaces. I would spend hours sprucing up my tree house and doll house rather than actually playing in it. I’d watch my my mom draw floor plans of our home and would sit in my tree house and create my own. I grew up watching my parents rip out pages of magazines and make them a reality as they historically preserved our 1870’s victorian home. I loved seeing how you can make your design dreams come to life with your own hands.
